Back to the Dominican Republic

Here we go

Okay, day two is well underway! Yesterday we were able to worship with two different churches in the community.

We went to serve, but as it often goes, we ended up being served in return.

Today we spent the morning visiting with people in their homes and sharing the gospel. I’m encouraged by how RTS (the mission we were serving with) is reaching out into this community. The translators do an amazing job not only translating for us but jumping in and sharing Christ as well. They are passionate about making His name known here and are doing a wonderful job. All glory to God! We are thrilled to play a small part.

This afternoon we took food to some families in town. Again, just helping the ministry with what they are already doing. Meeting a physical need in the community, praying with and talking to them in their homes.

It’s hard to know how to say in a short post all that has happened the last few days.

We have many new names in our hearts. We spoke to so many people. Some friendly, but resisting God. Some were believers already who encourage us so much and we were able to encourage them in return. Some heard the gospel for the first time. Some of those excepted Christ as their savior!! And Some are hungry to learn more. All will be followed up with by the awesome staff here at RTS missions. All will remain in our prayers.

Our next phase of the trip will be spent encouraging our Gospel Hope missionaries and their congregation in Santo Domingo…but first a day of exploring this beautiful country.

Explaring this beautiful land

We are back! Got off the plane, through customs and to our bus in less then 15 min.  A sweet gift from God on the last leg of our groups journey! Now we are driving to get our babies in TN
